Eyebrow Threading
Eyebrow Threading
Instructions For eyebrow threading,
you require 100 % cotton thread
and a skin toner only. The word
threading may sound painful,
but eyebrow threading is not
at all painful. Cut the cotton
thread to get about 24 inch
strand and tie both the ends
together to form a circle.

In both hands, hold the
thread in all your fingers and thumbs.
Then open your hands so that the circle
will be converted into a rectangle in
your hands.
Now you are expected to
twist the thread about 10 times in the
middle, so that it appears like a X, with
the twisted part in the middle.
Initially, you may find
it a little bit difficult, but you should
practice pushing the twisted portion of
the thread to the right by extending the
fingers and thumb of your left hand while
closing the fingers to the thumb of your
right hand. Then try it other way. As
you are required to do it both ways, practice
pushing the twisted portion to the left
by extending the fingers and thumb of
your right hand while closing the fingers
to the thumb of your left
hand.
A little bit of practice can make it easy.
Keeping in mind which hair
should be removed, place the twisted portion
of the thread on the skin, just to the
side of the hair you want to remove. Now
you are supposed to move your hands skillfully.
Gently roll the twisted portion along
the skin from side to side entwining the
unwanted hair, either to the right or
to the left whichever way you feel more
comfortable, by doing what we learned
in the previous steps. Try to capture
the hair in the twisted portion and then
simply pull. They can thus be quickly
lifted from the follicles.
It is always safe to start
with the hair in between both eyebrows.
You can then move on to the top and then
to the bottom. You should take care while
removing the hair from the bottom line
of the eyebrow as this area is the most
sensitive area. The eyebrow shapes will
depend upon the original natural shape
and the overall shape and size of the
face. Read more on eyebrow shaping tips.
You may cut down the length
of some of the hair with a pair of scissors,
if there is no need of removing them from
the follicles.
At the end, do not forget
to apply a toner directly on the skin
to close the pores, which are left open
by the removal of hair from the follicles.
This will prevent the skin from drying
and will give a soothing effect too.
The above procedure clearly
indicates that threading eyebrows is a
very simple and easy method to shape your
eyebrows. Let us now compare eyebrow threading
with waxing.
